Haunted Chambers

Just heard about this book “Haunted Chambers, The Lives Of Early Women Freemasons“. I wonder if it is any good. I will let you know when I read it.

Looking for the Amazon link, I also saw a few other titles that could be interesting as well:

Plenty to read… Anybody know any of these titles? Are they any good?

  1. “Haunted Chambers” makes an amusing read. It is mostly about women who were initiated into regular lodges. Often this was because they spied upon the lodge decided to initiate the women to oblige her to secrecy. In a few occasions the reason for initiation was another. The book is not about mixed or co-Masonry! Kidd wrote another book with that subject: “On Holy Ground: A History of The Honorable Order of American Co-Masonry“, which is (as the title suggests) about the order formerly known as: “The American Federation of Human Rights”.
